1968 Coupe
Modeled after the popular "Mako Shark" show car, the 1968 Corvette heralded the beginning of the 3rd Corvette generation (C3). It sported an all new fiberglass skin and updated interior installed on a virtually identical chassis to last year's model. T-top roof panels and a three-speed Turbo Hydramatic transmission were new for 1968.

FIBERGLASS FACT: A factory installed anti-theft alarm system was available, but less than 400 cars were so equipped.
